FOUNDATION Design Translator

FOUNDATION Design Translator is the bridge between analysis and design and the Tandem Pathway/TS environment. FOUNDATION Design Translator processes design files created using VISTA or Andersen Consulting's Design/1 and automatically creates DDL source; SCOBOL screen definitions; InterProcess Message definitions; NonStop SQL/MP Catalogs, Tables, and Views; and Enscribe files.

FOUNDATION Design Translator can reverse engineer DDL and SQL table definitions from the Tandem environment to the Entity Relationship Module of VISTA. Entities and attribute definitions are automatically created and recorded in VISTA's repository/dictionary. These resources can then be used to create updated or new designs, data structures (Enscribe or NonStop SQL/MP), and screens for forward engineering into the Tandem environment.
